The data covers the aircraft fleet in service in mainland China due Sep. 30, 2014. The number of passenger aircraft in service in mainland China amounts to 2,198 during the reporting period.
Highlights from the report include:
1. Boeing and Airbus continue to dominate the passenger airplane market in mainland China as of the end of Sep. 2014, with the two manufacturers' passenger airplanes taking up 93.36 percent market share.
2. The number of carriers operating passenger aircraft reaches 34 in mainland China. The top ten carriers with the largest fleet size operate 84.67 percent of the total passenger airplanes in service.
3. There are up to 26 types of passenger aircraft in service in mainland China. The top ten types in terms of numbers account for 92.86 percent of the total passenger airplanes in service.
