On August 30, Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) officially welcomed the Asian Aerospace International Expo and Congress 2007 (Asian Aerospace) to Hong Kong. This year marks the first time that Hong Kong has hosted the world-renowned civil aerospace exhibition, which takes place at HKIA from September 3 to 6.
The Chief Executive Officer of Airport Authority Hong Kong, Stanley Hui, said, "Hosting this prestigious event is a milestone in the development of Hong Kong's aviation industry and highlights HKIA's status as a regional and international aviation hub. Thousands of exhibitors and delegates from around the world will attend Asian Aerospace, and all 60,000 members of the airport community are looking forward to showing them why HKIA was again voted the world's best airport in the annual Skytrax survey."
During Asian Aerospace, HKIA will work closely with our business partners to ensure smooth airport operations. Asian Aerospace includes exhibitions, conferences, seminars and an aircraft display.
"Two cargo bays have been set aside to exhibit an Airbus A380, while three new cargo bays will be in service to ensure efficient freight operations during the show. In addition, around 10 commercial, executive and trainer aircraft will be displayed on the apron of the Business Aviation Centre," Mr Hui added.
Around 10,000 pre-registered trade visitors, 1,000 conference delegates and 500 exhibiting companies from more than 20 countries are expected to attend Asian Aerospace 2007.
