Technical Problems Delay Return Flight of A380 From Hamburg

On Sep. 16, the return test flight of an A380 from Hamburg to Toulouse was delayed by nearly five hours due to technical problems with the superjumbo's landing gear, an Airbus spokeswoman said.
The plane, which flew to Hamburg's Fuhlsbuettel airport on Sep. 15 for the Airport Days show there, was unable to return as scheduled to southern France, due to leakage in the landing gear's hydraulic system, spokeswoman Cornelia Lindberg said.
She said the leakage was nothing unusual, given the hard testing program the enormous airplane is undergoing.
The problem was later fixed and the A380 -- the world's largest airliner -- took off from Hamburg at 9:31pm (19:31GMT), an Airbus spokesman said.
