Cebu Pacific (CEB) starts flying its direct Manila-Xiamen service on Sep. 27.
The four-times weekly Manila-Xiamen service is scheduled to operate every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
The flight leaves Manila at 2:05pm, arrives in Xiamen at 4:20pm. The flight departs from Xiamen at 5:10pm and arrives in Manila at 7:25pm. CEB operates its 179-seater Airbus A320 aircraft at the Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport.
Xiamen is CEB's 10th international destination following the recent inauguration of its daily Manila-Shanghai service two weeks ago.
"We hope to encourage travel and tourism to Xiamen since this is a rapidly growing industrial province in China. More importantly, this is our way of supporting the country's tourism agenda, by providing the lowest fares from China to the Philippines," Candice Iyog, CEB's VP Marketing and Product, said.
She further added, "Our new offering will also allow increased family and leisure trips among the Filipino-Chinese communities who trace their roots in the Fujian province of China. With our trademark 'Go' fares, they can now visit their relatives and friends more frequently."
The lowest "Go" fare to Xiamen starts from P999 one-way. Iyog added that the best way to purchase tickets is through CEB's website, www.cebupacificair.com.
"We continue to stay focused on our vision of bringing air travel closer to more people both internationally and domestically," she emphasized.
CEB also launched its three-times weekly Cebu-Cagayan de Oro A319 service on Sep. 27.
