JAL Plane's Rear Scrapes Runway at Kansai Airport

On Oct. 2, the rear part of a Japan Airlines plane scraped a runway in the morning upon landing at Kansai International Airport near Osaka, western Japan, from Tokyo's Haneda airport, airport officials said.
Nobody was injured in the incident that occurred at around 8 a.m. but the airport closed the runway due to metal fragments having been scattered around after the incident.
