Asiana, Women's Favorite Carrier
The Korea Times | Oct. 21, 2007
Asiana Airlines has been honored by both the domestic and foreign media, being selected as the "carrier preferred by female customers" by Women News, a weekly newspaper in Korea, according to the airline on Oct. 21.
A survey was conducted in August of 10,019 women aged over 19, of which 33 percent picked Asiana, followed by Korean Air, Cathay Pacific Airways and Singapore Airlines, with Asiana obtaining the highest mark in the service category.
It also ranked third among 40 carriers for in-flight service by AB Road, a Japanese travel magazine, last month. The carrier followed behind Japan Airlines and Singapore Airlines in a survey of 2,400 Japanese passengers.
For quality performance, Asiana was awarded the "five-star airline" label by British transport research company Skytrax in May, and for three consecutive years it has won the "best onboard service and flight attendants" award from U.S. tourism magazine Global Traveler.
