US: Airport Near Washington Evacuated Due to Suspicious Package

On Oct. 22, the Dulles International Airport near Washington DC was briefly evacuated due to a suspicious package.
The upper level of Dulles, including the ticketing area, was evacuated after a suspicious bag was found shortly after 3 p.m., the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority told reporters.
Airport officials gave the all-clear shortly after 4 p.m. and passengers are being let into the airport and screening areas.
It is not yet known how the incident will affect air traffic.
The airport is located some 40 km west of Washington DC, and handles 1,800 to 2,000 flights on a daily basis.
