Heavy Fog in Northeast China, Disrupting Flights
Xinhua | Nov. 08, 2007
A heavy fog that blanketed northeast China's Liaoning Province earlier this week continues to envelop the provincial capital, Shenyang, on Nov. 8, causing the delaying or canceling of flights.
Visibility in Shenyang was between 200 and 500 meters through the afternoon on Nov. 8, according to Shenyang Meteorological Observatory.
At Shenyang Taoxian International Airport, more than 1,000 travelers were grounded as 32 flights were delayed. More flights were expected to be delayed or cancelled due to the fog, airport sources said.
