On Nov. 5, South Korea's second-largest carrier Asiana Airlines said that it will launch twice-weekly flights linking the provincial city of Cheongju with China's capital Beijing.
Flights will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays, starting Nov. 7, the airline said in a statement.
"The opening of the route will boost business activities between China and Chungcheong province," it said. Cheongju is 100 kilometers (85 miles) southeast of Seoul.
