Video: Barbershop Quartet Makes Airplane Delay Tolerable
Jan. 27, 2015
There is nothing more infuriating to an airline passenger than being stuck on the tarmac in travel limbo without leg room or entertainment.
A US Airways flight to New Orleans was delayed for maintenance after boarding, which basically means everyone on the flight was going nowhere fast. So when flight attendant Kari Mann realized that a barbershop quartet was onboard, she asked the group to provide some in-flight entertainment for the cranky passengers.
The group, named Port City Sound, broke out into an a capaella, feed-good tune, because it's really hard to be pissed off when a group of elderly gentlemen are singing "Under the Boardwalk."
