Video: Fuzhou Airlines Celebrates One-Year Anniversary

China's start-up carrier Fuzhou Airlines (FU) celebrated its one-year anniversary on Oct. 30 with a series of traditional activities, e.g. sand painting, drawing.
Since its maiden flight on October 30, 2014, the Fuzhou-based carrier has handled 6,734 flights and carried nearly 1.06 million passengers, with an average passenger load factor of 83 percent in the past 12 months.
During the past year, the carrier has also expanded its fleet to six aircraft, operating 22 flights per day serving 19 destinations including Beijing, Changsha, Chongqing, Guiyang, Haikou, Harbin, Jinan, Kunming, Nanchang, Nanjing, Nanning, Shanghai, Taiyuan, Tianjin, Wuhan and Zhengzhou.
According to its aircraft introduction plan, Fuzhou Airlines is scheduled to take delivery of its seventh 737-800 aircraft by the end of this year.
In addition, the start-up carrier also plans to introduce as many as 20 Embraer E190s from Hainan Airlines (HU) in the future.
