Zhu Yong, general manager of China National Aviation Fuel Group Corporation (CNAF), has been removed from his position, aviation industry media AirTi said Tuesday on Wechat.
Zhu has been relieved from his duties and was succeeded by Xi Zhengping, vice president of China Nonferrous Metal Mining (Group) Co., Ltd., according to AirTi.
Born in 1962, Zhu has over 30 years of experience in China's aviation industry. He has been general manager of CNAF since December 2011.
It was not clear why Zhu was removed from his duties. Analysts presumed that the reason could be related to the recent anti-graft probe in the civil aviation industry.
Zhu has been Deputy General Manager of China TravelSky Holding Company since October 2002 and served as the Chief Executive Officer of TravelSky Technology Ltd. since April 2001. From August 1983 to April 1991, he served as an Engineer in CAAC.
Founded on the basis of the China Aviation Oil Supply Corporation, CNAF is the largest state-owned aviation fuel supplier which integrates the purchase, transportation, storage, quality management, sales and into-plane service of aviation fuel in China.
