EVA Air (BR) has taken delivery of its 22nd Boeing 777-300ER aircraft (Registration B-16725) from Boeing Company, which is also the first one bearing EVA's new livery.
EVA Air was a launch customer for the 777-300ER in 2005 and the aircraft has become the backbone of our long-haul fleet, said EVA Chairman K.W. Chang during a delivery ceremony held in Seattle on Nov. 11.
The Taiwan-based carrier currently operates more than 36 Boeing airplanes, including 21 777-300ERs. The airline plans to introduce seven more 777-300ERs to its fleet by the end of 2016 and deploy them on North American routes. After all of its new aircraft are delivered, EVA's fleet will include more than 80 airplanes.
The 777-300ER is one of the most fuel and cost-efficient airplanes in its class as well as the most reliable twin-aisle aircraft in the world. It also has the highest cargo capability of any passenger airplane in service. The 777-300ER will receive further improvements in 2016 designed to reduce fuel use by 2 percent.
Let's take a look at how to build EVA Air's Boeing 777-300ER in a 2-minute, 47-second clip.
