Sichuan Airlines (3U), which operates China's largest all-Airbus fleet, took delivery of a brand new Airbus A320 aircraft on Tuesday afternoon, expanding its fleet to 108 aircraft.
The new A320-200 aircraft, Registration B-8330, touched down at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (CTU) at 4: 04 p.m., Tuesday, which is the 13th and last aircraft delivered to Sichuan Airlines in 2015. The newly introduced aircraft is also the 50th A320 of the Chengdu-based carrier.
Sichuan Airlines took delivery of its 100th Airbus aircraft on May 22, 2015, making the Chengdu-based carrier become the seventh airline in China to have a fleet of 100 or more aircraft.
Now, the Chengdu-based carrier operates 108 Airbus aircraft, including 24 A319s, 50 A320s, 26 A321s and eight A330s. It also plans to take another 100 aircraft over the next decade.
