Passengers Delayed As "Fish Smell" Spreads Through the Cabin on Delta Airlines Flight

A flight was delayed due to a "smell of fish" wafting through the cabin.
Delta Airlines flight 1219 was scheduled to fly out of Hartsfield-Jackson Airport in Atlanta en-route to Los Angeles.
However, it was held up by more than 30 minutes due to the pungent smell left behind from cargo on a previous flight.
And of course, passengers were quick to share their not-so-pleasant experience on board, including actor Adam Pally from The Mindy Project.
Posting around the same time that the flight was delayed, Pally wrote: "My flight is delayed because of a fish smell."
He then said that people were being "rebooked" from the "fish plane," and that he was then "on a different flight and won't experience the fish plane."
Will Frampton, predicting the expected social media discussion, wrote on Twitter: "I fully expect this to start trending on FB/Twitter: our ATL-LAX flight is delayed bc the plane smells like fish. Seriously."
And another passenger on board the Boeing 757, John Berry, wrote: "Unreal! DL flight 1219 boarding delay due to 'fish smell' from prior cargo."
The flight was originally scheduled to take off at 1:40 p.m. Atlanta time, but was delayed until 2:25 p.m. due to the smell.
