Japan Seen Faulting Bombardier for ANA Mishap: Report

Japan is likely to conclude that a mistake in Bombardier's manufacturing process led to the emergency landing of a Q400 aircraft operated by All Nippon Airways in March, Japan's Asahi Shimbun daily reported on Nov. 11.
Investigators at the Japanese Transport Ministry are leaning to the view that Bombardier failed to attach a necessarily bolt to the landing gear of the plane, the newspaper reported, citing sources familiar with the matter.
The nose gear of the ANA plane failed to deploy but the aircraft landed safely and no one was hurt.
The incident was followed by two crash landings involving Bombardier's Q400 turboprop plane in Europe. Tokyo is expected to publish a report on the incident early next year, the paper said.
