Xi'an Xianyang International Airport Achieves Record Passenger Number

On November 9, 2007, Xi'an Xianyang International Airport (XXIA) welcomed its 10 millionth passenger in 2007.
The passenger flew in aboard China Eastern Airlines' flight MU2106 and received special souvenir presented by Mr. Zhang Wenge, XXIA's General Manager.
China Eastern Airlines' Northwest Branch Company also offered the passenger a free round-trip ticket.
In addition, a ceremony was held at the airport to mark the special occasion as well.
The airport became operational in 1991 and is now China's 9th busiest civil airport and the largest in northwest China.
