Helicopter Crashes in Indonesia

A Huges 500 helicopter crashed in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan province, Indonesia, at 01:40 p.m. on Nov. 13, but none of its crew was hurt.
The helicopter owned by PT Asco was believed to have had engine trouble after it took off from Balikpapan's Sepinggan International Airport, Antara news agency quoted chief of the Balikpapan City Police Adj Snr Comm Gde Sugyar Dwi Purnama as saying.
The helicopter's tail was broken but its pilot Hary Purnomo and senior pilot did not sustain major injury, Sugyar said.
"Pilot Hary Purnomo accompanied by senior pilot Oscar was on a test flight. The helicopter's engine stopped running when it was flying at an altitude of 540 feet," he said.
The helicopter crashed into a swamp near the Balikpapan ring road about 5-10 km from the airport, he said.
