Power Cut Delays Sydney Flights
AAP | Nov. 16, 2007
Flights in and out of Sydney's international airport were being delayed because of a power cut on Nov. 16.
The blackout occurred during the off-peak period before 1.30pm (AEDT), a Sydney Airport spokesman said.
"There was a power failure in the international terminal. It impacted on the baggage handling and flights are still experiencing delays," he said at 2pm on Nov. 16.
"At this stage we are focused on getting back to the normal running schedules, but a full investigation will be conducted to find out what happened," he said.
There was no risk to passengers and the terminal was functioning normally again, but still suffering some delays.
