Disability-Friendly Facilities into Service at Beijing Airport
Nov. 22, 2007
The Beijing Capital International Airport has put new disability-friendly facilities into service.
20 emergency defibrillators are posted around the airport. Staff can use them if a passenger has a heart attack.
The airport is also becoming more accessible to travellers with physical disabilities.
Information counters and telephones have been lowered 20 to 30 centimeters than standard, allowing easier access for those in wheelchairs.
