Skybus Airlines lost US$16 million in the third quarter, according to statistics the startup LCC provided to the US Dept. of Transportation and cited by several press reports.

Revenue was US$22 million as the carrier achieved a 79% load factor. Yield was just 5.08 cents. The Ohio-based airline told media that the results were "in line" with expectations.
