Four people were killed on Jan. 12 after a small plane they were aboard crashed in northwest Ohio, local media reported.
The plane went down in a rural residential area as it was trying to land, the reports quoted aviation officials as saying. There were no reports of injuries caused by the crash on the ground.
The crew of the small plane, a twin-engine Cessna 340, had radioed their intention to land at the Erie-Ottawa Regional Airport at about noon, according to airport director Jack Stables said.
Stables said he saw the landing gear and flaps of the small plane were down in apparent preparation for landing. However, "then we never heard from them again," he said.
The two men and two women on board were killed, according to the State Highway Patrol.
It is not immediately clear where the small plane originated its flight.
