BOC Aviation has signed agreements with India's Jet Airways for the lease of five more Boeing Next Generation 737s. The aircraft will be delivered new from the Boeing final assembly line between March 2010 and November 2011. The aircraft will be leased to the airline for a period of 10 years each.

The latest deals with Jet Airways bring to seven the total number of aircraft being leased to the airline from BOC Aviation. Jet Airways will use the aircraft to increase capacity on its extensive domestic route network, as well as on select international routes.

Robert Martin, Chief Executive Officer of BOC Aviation, said that the company was pleased to be able to conclude follow-on deals with Jet Airways.

"Jet Airways is firmly established as a world class airline with a reputation for operational and service excellence," he said. "We look forward to developing further our partnership with the airline and playing a long-term role in the carrier's future fleet requirements."

BOC Aviation is the leading Asia-based aircraft leasing company, with a fleet of 76 modern aircraft flying with 29 airlines worldwide. The company has 40 more 737 aircraft on firm order for delivery from Boeing through to 2011. Reflecting the current unprecedented demand for new aircraft from airlines worldwide, 37 of these have already been leased to airlines in advance of delivery.
