SF Airlines welcomed a brand new 767-300 Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF) at Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport (SZX) on Monday, marking the first Chinese airline operating 767BCF and a new wide-body era for SF Airlines.
The 767-300BCF is recognized as the industry's most efficient medium wide-body twin jet freighter, with low direct operating costs, superior payload to weight ratios and Boeing's world class support.
The new Freighter, delivered and converted in Singapore last December, is the first of five 767BCFs it will receive in 2016. The celebration of the delivery was held in the controlled area of SZX and representatives from CAAC Shenzhen Regional Administration, Aviation Control Station and the airport witnessed the delivery of SF's first wide-body freighter.
The China air express market is forecast to be among the fastest growing segments of the world air cargo market, largely due to e-commerce. The arrival of the wide-body freighter to SF Airlines' fleet of Boeing 737s and 757s is one example of changes being made by the airline to better support the rapid e-commerce growth in the China market. "With its larger capacity and higher fuel efficiency, the B767-300BCF will not only ensure faster shipping and better service to our customers, but also relieve the pressure of first-tier city airports during peak hours." said Li Sheng, President of SF Airlines.
Good things come in pairs. In less than an hour after the landing of the wide-body freighter, SF Airlines took delivery of another new 757-200 freighter from Xiamen, making SF the largest cargo airline in China with 27 self-owned freighters.
Wang Suichu, Vice President of Shenzhen Airport Group, spoke highly of the fast development in capacity and international service of SF Airlines. According to Mr. Wang, "Shenzhen Airport will always support SF Airlines to make its Shenzhen base bigger and stronger to speed up the pace hand in hand for Shenzhen to become an international city."
As a subsidiary of S.F. Express (Group) Co., Ltd., SF Airlines is not only the brand's extension in aviation field but also its core competence in air express service. The Shenzhen based airline is devoted to ensure safety and efficiency in air transportation of parcels and also expecting to provide trust worthy express services.
