China Aviation Daily | Jan. 14, 2016
Flight Air France AF439 left Mexico on January 10, at 9:29 p.m. (local time) and landed at Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport at 1:54 p.m. on Monday January 11, 2016.
It was the last long-haul commercial flight operated by Air France with a Boeing 747. On arrival, the Super Jumbo made a stop on the taxiway in front of the mast at the Air France Head Office, where hundreds of staff had gathered to pay a final tribute to the legendary aircraft. Firefighters from Aéroports de Paris also gave it a final water salute.
Two special flights (AF744 and AF747) will fly over France on January 14, as a final tribute.
