Chengdu Airlines Thursday started a one-month route-proving program of its first ARJ21-700 jet before obtaining supplemental operations certificate for the aircraft.
The ARJ21-700, Registration B-3321, touched down at Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport at 12:29 p.m. after a two-hour flight. It is the first time for the home-made regional jet to make a route-proving flight at Shenzhen Airport.
It is learned that Chengdu Airlines will launch its first ARJ21-700 commercial flight between Chengdu and Shanghai in late February. The jet could be deployed on Chengdu-Beijing and Chengdu-Shenzhen routes later.
