Longjiang Airlines, a start-up carrier in Heilongjiang Province, is expected to take delivery of its first Airbus A321 aircraft on April 18 in Shenyang, capital of Northeast China's Liaoning Province.
On May 18, the 212-seat A321 will be transferred to Harbin, the main base of Longjiang Airlines, prior to its maiden flight scheduled in late June.
Longjiang Airlines is going to establish regional route network covering the whole Heilongjiang Province, and launch service to nearly twenty cities including Beijing and Shanghai, as well as start international service to the Russian Far East, connecting to Russia, Korea and Japan.
Initially, the new airline will launch four domestic routes, including Harbin-Xi'an-Chengdu, Harbin-Yiwu-Nanning, Harbin-Guangzhou-Shenzhen and Harbin-Beijing.
The carrier will operate both Airbus A320 and Embraer E190 aircraft. It plans to receive four to five A320/A321 aircraft from the plane manufacturer, with another six more to be delivered in next year. It is predicted to operate Airbus A320 and Embraer E-190 aircraft initially and expand its fleet to 30 aircraft by 2020.
