Accident: Xiamen B738 at Guangzhou on Apr. 12, Tail Strike on Bounced Go Around

A Xiamen Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration B-5302 performing flight MF8381 from Hangzhou to Guangzhou (China), landed on Guangzhou's runway 01, the captain, pilot flying, pulled thrust levers to idle, the speed brakes deployed, however, the aircraft bounced. The captain decided to go around, applied TOGA and abruptly pulled the nose up, the aircraft reached a pitch of 12.8 degrees nose up and struck its tail severely onto the runway surface.
The aircraft climbed out to 5000 feet and entered a hold, the aircraft subsequently positioned for another approach to runway 01 and landed without further incident. The aircraft received substantial damage.
The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground a week later.
