Video: Sichuan Airlines A330 Goes Around Twice in Strong Crosswind at Narita Airport
China Aviation Daily | Apr. 19, 2016
A video has shown the moment a Sichuan Airlines Airbus A330-200 (Registration B-6534) was forced to go around twice due to extreme crosswinds.
The clip, posted by YouTube user kusu yama, was captured as the aircraft tried to land at Tokyo's Narita Airport on April 17.
It shows the plane lurching from side-to-side as it is caught in strong winds.
After the second landing attempt, the A330 aircraft headed for Osaka for division.
A go around is classed as a "procedure adopted when an arriving aircraft on final approach aborts landing by applying take off power and climbing away from the airport."
