The dramatic moment a passenger plane was apparently hit by lightning near Heathrow Airport has been caught on camera.
The jet, reportedly flying from Reykjavik, was struck during a storm over London on Wednesday.
A video taken by Kevin McArdle in Parsons Green, west London, showed the plane in the middle of the picture.
It was flying below a large dark cloud before a lightning bolt appeared, followed by a rumble of thunder a couple of seconds later.
A passenger said those on board were shocked by the sudden loud noise and bright light.

Catherine Mayer, who was on the Icelandair flight, told the London Evening Standard: "I was rushing back to campaign for the Women's Equality Party in the May 5 elections here. When we flew into the storm, my first thought was 'I can't die. I have to vote'."
Ms Mayer said the strike was "sudden and loud and very bright and unmistakable for what it was".
"I think all the passengers were too shocked to react but when we landed everybody was talking about it.
"The captain came on the Tannoy and said, laconically, that we 'may have noticed a lightning strike' and people laughed."
