Aeroplane passengers were scandalised when an elderly woman allowed her granddaughter to urinate on the floor under her seat.
When the little girl announced her need just as the plane was about to land, she was not told to be patient and wait until they were inside the terminal.
Instead she pulled down the girl's trousers and encouraged her to go on the spot.
The shocking incident is said to have occurred on Air China flight CA1332
from Zhengzhou, capital of Central China's Henan Province, destined for Chinese capital Beijing.
One of the witnesses of the horrifying incident, who identified themselves through their username @kaifenggaocaisheng on Chinese social media platform Sina Weibo, said they were about to land when the girl announced her need to use the loos.
According to reports, passengers complained to the grandmother they could hear the girl relieving herself but she ignored those who objected to her behaviour.
While Air China has not commented on the matter, the grandmother and her young granddaughter seem to have walked away from the incident without even being fined, as pictures show the pair leaving the airport terminal in Beijing.
This is not the first time Chinese guardians have allowed children in their care to make a mess on planes, with one woman allowing her child to defecate on the floor 'because the toilets were too small'.
Chinese citizens have taken to social media to condemn the grandmother's actions, with many voicing their dissatisfaction at the growing list of embarrassing behaviours exhibited by their own countrymen.
They have called for strong education amongst the older general public, but believed tougher fines may be the way forward in the short-term to stamp out the poor and uncivilised behaviour.
