Russia, China Set to Sign Deals on Joint Aircraft Development

Moscow and Beijing may sign an agreement on the development of a long-haul aircraft and a heavy civil helicopter during Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to China, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov said Wednesday.
Putin will pay an official visit to China on June 25 at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping.
"[The sides] will discuss issues of cooperation in aircraft building, rocket and space industries, obviously intergovernmental agreements will be signed which will launch a program of joint development and the creation of a wide-body long-haul aircraft and a heavy civil helicopter," Ushakov told a briefing.
