Video: Tom Hanks Pulls Off a Miracle on the Hudson in "Sully" Trailer

On January 15, 2009, the world witnessed the "Miracle on the Hudson" when Captain "Sully" Sullenberger glided his disabled plane onto the frigid waters of the Hudson River, saving the lives of all 155 aboard.
However, even as Sully was being heralded by the public and the media for his unprecedented feat of aviation skill, an investigation was unfolding that threatened to destroy his reputation and his career.
Tom Hanks plays Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger, who pulled off the near-impossible by landing US Airways Flight 1549 in the water after a collision with a skein of Canadian geese took out both of his plane's engines.
The first teaser trailer for Clint Eastwood's "Sully" was released on Wednesday.
The trailer portrays a different side of the story, though, where not everyone believed Sully's actions were heroic or even necessary. An investigation into his piloting abilities was opened, to determine whether he really needed to make such a dramatic water landing, or if he could have made it back to the airport.
"I've been in the air for 40 years," Hanks says in the trailer, referring to Sully's time in the United States Air Force and piloting for US Airways, "but in the end, I'm gonna be judged on 208 seconds."
"Sully" is set to hit theaters Sep. 9.
