CAAC: Airline On-time Rankings for July 2016

The on-time performance of Chinese passenger airlines averaged 68.87% in July 2016, up 12.88 percentage points year on year, according to the data released by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).
28 of all 38 airlines' on-time performance was higher than the average rate, including Tianjin Airlines, Shandong Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Sichuan Airlines, Hainan Airlines, Air ChangAn, Hongtu Airlines, Jiangxi Airlines, Qingdao Airlines, Okay Airways and etc. Airlines are divided into two categories according to the number of their daily flights operated in 2015 - major airlines operating more than and including 200 flights daily and other airlines operating fewer than 200 flights daily.
Tianjin Airlines again took the top spot out of 10 of the nation's major airlines, with 76.45% of its flights arriving as scheduled in July 2016, followed by Shandong Airlines (74.26%) and China Southern Airlines (71.48%), respectively. Shanghai Airlines was ranked at the bottom of the category with only 58.46% of its flights operated on time.
Here are the government's rankings of the leading airlines and their on-time performance for July.
Start-up Air ChangAn delivered 90.54% of its flights on time in July, the best performance among the 28 airlines (including two start-up airlines) operating less than 200 flights daily. Tibet Airlines was ranked at the bottom of the list with only 46.58% of its flights operated on time.
