CAAC: Ranking of Major Airport On-time Departure for July 2016

The average on-time departure rate of major airports in mainland China reached 73.66% in July 2016, up 8.71 percentage points year on year, according to data released by Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).
Among the 51 airports, 31 achieved better on-time departure performance than the average level, including Kunming Changshui International Airport (87.07%), Xi'an Xianyang International Airport (86.29%), Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport (83.16%) and etc.
The 51 airports are divided into two categories according to passenger numbers served in 2014 - full-year passenger volume more than 1% of total airports and that less than 1%.
According to statistics, Kunming kept on the top of the list to be the most punctual airport in 10 million passenger club with an on-time departure rate of 87.07%, followed by Xi'an and Chongqing.
Shanghai Pudong International Airport and Nanjing Lukou International Airport were ranked at the bottom of the list of airports with more passenger volumes, with only 55.92% and 61.04% percent on-time departures in July 2016.
Data shows that Haikou Meilan International Airport saw the largest improvement in its on-time performance among the 27 major airports, with its on-time departure increasing 23.95 percentage points to 82.2% compared with the same period last year.
Xishuangbanna Airport had the best on-time performance among airports with passenger numbers less than 1% of total airports, with 91.73% of flights departing on time in July.
