China Eastern Airlines plans to extend its Shanghai Pudong-Prague service to include Ningbo from this October, according to a notice released on the website of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).
If approved, the Shanghai-based carrier will operate the Shanghai-Ningbo-Prague route on a weekly basis, using Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
Currently, China Eastern competes with Hainan Airlines (from Beijing) and Sichuan Airlines (from Chengdu) on Prague route.
The Shanghai-based carrier will be the only operator on the Ningbo-Prague route.
The Air Transportation Department of CAAC is soliciting public comments on the application until September 2, 2016.
