Airbus Group will be participating in the China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition in Zhuhai from November 1-6, 2016, highlighting innovation and some of its advanced product range.
The Airbus Group stand will be located in the Main Hall, Booth H4CA, where a cutaway model of the A380, a model of the A350 XWB, and a pair of China-made A350 XWB S19 maintenance doors made of composite materials will be on display.
For the first time, Airbus A350 XWB test aircraft MSN002 will perform demonstration flights and be on static display for the first two days of the show. Test aircraft MSN002 will later visit Haikou, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu as part of its debut China tour from October 29 to November 8.
With all-new design, outstanding aerodynamics, 53 percent carbon fibre aerostructure, and new fuel-efficient Rolls-Royce Trent engines, the A350 XWB benefits from unparalleled levels of efficiency, with a 25 percent reduction in fuel burn and CO2 emissions, and significantly lower operating cost. The A350 XWB is the founding member of Airspace by Airbus cabin branding. The spaciousness, quietness, and ambient lighting in the cabin contribute to superior levels of comfort and well-being, offering exclusive in-flight experience with higher comfort standards for the passengers. Airbus has won 810 firm orders for the A350 XWB from
43 customers worldwide, already making it one of the most successful wide body aircraft ever.
Spotlighting helicopters, a series of Airbus Helicopters mock-ups will be on display, including a light single-engine H130 Squirrel, a light twin-engine H135, and one heavy twin-engine H215 from the Super Puma family. The H160 Experience, a 1:1 real size mock-up, will also feature for the first time at the static display area in front of the exhibition Hall 3. Visitors are able to get a close look at the H160 and learn more about this state-of-the-art aircraft.
H160 is the most advanced, innovative medium helicopter developed by Airbus Helicopters.
The entire design is to create added value for customers in terms of performance, economic competitiveness, safety and comfort. Cleaner and quieter, the H160 takes a step forward in respect for the environment. Configurations are being developed to include offshore transportation, business and private aviation, public services, and commercial passenger transport.
The Ecureuil family is the reference for the single engine market in China with a market share of close to 75% in 2015. Airbus Helicopters is celebrating its twenty-year operations with the H135 light twin, multi-mission helicopter this year. Today, about 15 customers in China operate the H135 for a wide range of missions including Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and public services. A member of the well-known Super Puma rotorcraft family, the H215 is a heavy twin-engine helicopter with outstanding performance, known for its high availability rate and competitive operating costs as well as multi-mission capabilities, including firefighting, police, passenger transportation, aerial work and utility missions.
A press conference will be held by Airbus on Tuesday, November 1 at 12:40 p.m., in Room 220, 2nd floor of the Press Centre. Top executives from Airbus headquarters and Airbus China will present Airbus' latest business in the country and the global market forecast.
