Xiamen Airlines to Recruit 600 Cadet Pilots in 2017

Xiamen Airlines plans to enroll 600 cadet pilots in 2017 as it continues to expand its fleet size, hitting a new record in its development history.
According to the cadet pilot programme, cadet pilots should be male college graduates with a height from 170cm to 190cm. Applicants will be tested on physical, personality, mental and behavioral criteria to see whether they have potential as pilots.
In 2016, Xiamen Airlines recruited 267 cadet pilots from 4,100 applicants, bringing the number of total pilots to 2,760 .
Founded in 1984, Xiamen Airlines has a total of 164 aircraft in service with a comprehensive network covering Asia, Europe, America and Australia. Over the past 3 decades, the airline has continuously shown a profit for 29 years, the longest period of reporting uninterrupted profits in Chinese civil aviation history.
The airline took delivery of its first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on December 8.
