With heavy rain and snow snarling much of mainland China's eastern, central and southern regions for the past few weeks, which has been described as the heaviest in over a decade in many areas, air transport disruptions are becoming increasingly common in many cities as nearby airports are being forced to close due to poor weather conditions, low visibility and snow- or ice-covered runways.
However, despite the fact that poor weather conditions are continuing or even worsening in certain regions, airlines, airports and all relevant civil aviation organisations are still working hard and making every effort to try bringing air travel back to normal. Here are some snapshots that CARNOC.com has gathered to prove that a lot of efforts have been made to ensure air travel despite the ugly weather.
