On January 28, Air China, the country's flag carrier and official airline partner of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, hosted an appreciation dinner for its top e-commerce partners and VIPs at the Hilton hotel in Beijing.

Air China officials told CARNOC.com that the event was officiated by Mrs. Zhang Lan and Mr. Fan Cheng, both are Senior Vice President of Air China Ltd., with key figures in China's e-commerce and Internet sectors such as Dr. John Liu, Google Inc.'s Vice President in charge of sales in Greater China region and Mr. Gong Yu, Sohu.com Inc.'s Chief Operating Officer in attendance.

In addition, CARNOC.com has been informed that managers, executives and representatives from various companies such as banks, airports and media organisations were also invited to the dinner with around 150 attendees in total. During the event, Air China also presented awards to 11 outstanding e-commerce partners.
