Jetstar Asia Links Singapore and Macau
MacauHub | Feb. 04, 2008
On Feb. 2, Macau's airport received the inaugural Singapore-Macau flight operated by low cost airline Jetstar Asia.
The airline will run a daily flight between the cities and thus increases the number of airlines operating from Macau International Airport to 15.
The Macau-Singapore route was already offered by Tiger Airways.
According to the director for Tourism Services of Macau, Costa Antunes, this low cost link will "further strengthen" tourism from Singapore.
Antunes noted that last year Singapore was the ninth largest tourist market for Macau, with the number of visitors from the city-state rising 15 percent year-on-year.
