On March 28, a small single-engine plane with five people aboard crashed in Canada's western Alberta province, press reports said.
The fate of the people onboard remains unclear as military personnel and police examined the site.
The Piper PA-46 aircraft went down northeast of Wainwright, a small community about a two-and-half-hour drive southeast of provincial capital Edmonton.
Rescue crews have reached the crash location, and are searching for the passengers and pilot, Canadian Television reported.
The plane disappeared from radar during a flight from Edmonton to Winnipeg, capital of Manitoba province. Air traffic control in Edmonton watched the plane descending on radar right before it disappeared.
