Paula Kraft, an icon in the business aviation inflight catering industry with her Tastefully Yours catering base in Atlanta, GA, has been recommended as a subject matter expert by NBAA to the board of International Standard for Business Aircraft Handlers (IS-BAH) for a three-year term.
IS-BAH follows the long-established format and structure of the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) program and is a global industry code of best practices for business aviation ground handlers based on a core Safety Management System (SMS).
Paula is looking forward to opening the first comprehensive professional flight attendant training school in the world, called DaVinci Inflight Training Institute, at the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport in Florida. She has been in Geneva this week to meet with potential complementary partners this week during EBACE, Europe's premier business aviation show. The brand new 6,500 square foot facility is undergoing final construction and will be open for tours and classes this summer.
Drawing on her decades of experience in culinary and food safety, Paula is widening the offer at the school to cover cabin safety training in co-operation with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Students will be able to enrol online through Embry-Riddle or DaVinci website to attend classes from July 2017. The multi-purpose facility includes a mock flight department area that will test graduates on the entire cabin service experience. Bespoke products and services, including butler training, new galley technology, food packaging and presentation, will also be available at DaVinci ensuring greater passenger safety and satisfaction.
"Our comprehensive training platform will offer both the seasoned or new corporate flight attendant the best in inflight safety, professional skills, and culinary service capabilities," said Paula, adding, "DaVinci will allow flight attendants to not only enhance their value to employers but also create greater passenger loyalty and brand reputation for flight operations around the world."
