Second International Airport Approved in Hunan Province

Recently, Zhangjiajie Hehua Airport has been changed into Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport, marking the airport becoming the second international airport in Hunan, which is of great importance to its reputation and influence in the world and the social and economic development of Hunan Province.
The airport started operation on November 11, 2011. With 17 international air routes, the airport has stood in the list of Chinese Tourism Backbone Airport. In 2016, there have been 296 thousand overseas passengers, accounting for 17.4%, 39 times larger than that of 2011.
As an International airport, Hehua Airport will grab the opportunities of the 13th Five Year Plan to make a breakthrough of 3 million passenger turnover per year, helping the flourish of this area.
