The thrilling Formula 1® Chinese Grand Prix has just been run and won, with Daniel Ricciardo of Red Bull taking the chequered flag to become the champion of the 2018 Chinese Grand Prix.
The tricky, 16-corner track of the Shanghai International Circuit at Jiading, is always a draw for the world's leading motor racing drivers, and their loyal fans. As a Global Partner of Formula 1®, Emirates brought additional attractions for all, with its iconic Fly Emirates branding seen all around this, and the rest of the tracks on the Formula 1® circuit, further underlining the airline's commitment to bringing the passion of sport to its global passengers, especially in China.
At the fan zone, Emirates established a self-functioning giant helmet, where motor racing fans took selfies and photos with their friends or families together, to memorize this joyful moment.
Back in 2013, Emirates became the Global Partner of Formula 1®, based on a five-year agreement with the Formula One group. Ever since, the iconic Fly Emirates branding has been seen at historic circuits such as Silverstone in Great Britain, Monza in Italy, as well as the Shanghai International Circuit.
For many years, Emirates has been at the forefront of sports partnerships with some of the world's leading football, tennis, golf and other sporting events. The ambition, cutting-edge technological standards and worldwide reach of Formula One go hand in hand with the vision and ambition of Emirates.
Emirates is one of the world's largest airlines by international air traffic. Based in Dubai, Emirates' 159 destination network enables motor racing fans to reach many Formula 1® locations for the 2018 season, including Baku in Azerbaijan, Barcelona in Spain and London in the UK.
Emirates currently operates twice daily Shanghai-Dubai-Shanghai, Beijing-Dubai-Beijing non-stop services and a daily Guangzhou-Dubai-Guangzhou service, all on Airbus A380s; three Zhengzhou-Yinchuan-Dubai-Yinchuan-Zhengzhou flights per week, on Boeing 777s. Passengers flying Emirates can experience these flagship aircraft and its award-winning products and services.
