The Soekarno-Hatta Airport in the Indonesian capital will be ready to receive the world's largest passenger plane Airbus A380 in December when it operates a third terminal.
The terminal is designed in part to accommodate the fully double-decker aircraft which can carry 550 passengers.
The extension project is estimated to cost US$53,383, English daily The Jakarta Post reported on May 23, citing officials with airport operator PT Angkasa Pura.
The new terminal will increase annual airport capacity to 22 million from currently 18 million.
