India: Too Hot to Handle at New Delhi's International Airport
China Daily | Jun. 09, 2008
The air conditioning went out for 19 hours at New Delhi's crowded international airport over the weekend, forcing travelers to endure large lines in stifling temperatures.
The problem occurred because of ongoing renovations to the rundown Indira Gandhi International Airport, the Hindustan Times reported on June 8.
The air conditioning was out from 9:30 pm on June 6 until 4:30 pm on June 7 as temperatures outside hovered near 38C.
