For years Emirates Airlines has been a top-rated airline when flying. Much of their recognition comes as a result of their great fleet of planes and extra care toward customer service and customer experience. While many travelers fly Emirates Airlines, they need to be aware of some upcoming changes.

For those who fly coach class, baggage allowance will be reduced beginning in February 2019. Here is a look at the changes passengers can expect to see.

Special Fare And Saver Fare Tickets Will See Changes For Checked Baggage

For those travelers purchasing special fare and saver fare tickets, the previous baggage allowance will be reduced by 5 kg (about 11 lbs) starting on February 4, 2019. For passengers with special fare tickets, they can check up to 15 kg of baggage, while travelers with saver fare tickets can check 25 kg baggage.

While it's not a huge difference in luggage weight, it's important to be aware if you're planning to fly with Emirates Airlines soon. Those flying before February 4, 2019, will not need to worry about the changes.

Note: These changes exclude travel to and from destinations in the Americas and travel originating in Africa.

Emirates Airlines Carry On Baggage Allowance Will Stay The Same

The good news is there are no changes to the carry on baggage allowance when flying special fare or saver fare with Emirates Airlines. Economy travelers are able to bring one bag with them up to 7 kg. The dimensions of the carry on bag should not exceed 22 x 15 x 8 inches.

Business And First Class Tickets Will See No Baggage Allowance Changes

Those who fly business or first class will see no baggage allowance changes at all when they fly with Emirates Airlines, no matter where they're flying out of or which destination they're visiting.
