Emirates Brings Iconic Experiences to the Formula 1 Heineken Chinese Grand Prix 2019

Emirates, a Global Partner of Formula 1®, the pinnacle of motorsport, celebrated the 1000th Grand Prix with F1 fans at the FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN CHINESE GRAND PRIX 2019, bringing a series of iconic brand experiences to the race that took place in Shanghai from 12 April to 14 April.
As the world's most prestigious motor racing competition, the F1 Grand Prix series are highly anticipated by millions of fans worldwide each year, including the Shanghai race. For the 7th consecutive year, Emirates engaged with guests and fans during the race weekend through a variety of activities at Shanghai International Circuit. With this year's first F1 Festival being held in Shanghai to celebrate the 1000th Grand Prix and bringing the atmosphere to the heart of the city, Emirates also invited fans to take part in the brand's thrilling activations at the festival and share their passion for the sport.
In addition to the distinguished "Emirates Fly Better" trackside branding and acclaimed Emirates cabin crew, this year Emirates had two giant helmets at the race's Fan Zone and the F1 Festival held in the downtown, as well as an Emirates x 1000 Grand Prix branded F1 Car displayed at the festival. Both the helmets and the branded car created unique opportunities for fans to capture their exciting F1 moments and to get a glimpse of Emirates' world-class service.
The F1 Paddock Club's signature hospitality was offered to Emirates' guests to enjoy premium dining while watching the race with an exceptional view. Inside Emirates' hospitality area, guests were also able to learn about Emirates' global network and premium products. More exclusive experiences including Pirelli Hot Laps and truck tours were open to guests for them to further explore the excitement of the Grand Prix.
Emirates has been a Global Partner of F1 since 2013 and the scope of their agreement was expanded last year, allowing the airline to intensify its presence at over 15 races on the FIA Formula One World Championship™ calendar across Europe, Asia, Australia, North America and South America until the end of 2022.
Currently flying to over 150 destinations from Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou via its Dubai hub, Emirates connects Chinese fans to most of the countries hosting races, including the UK, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Austria, Hungary, Brazil and the US. This month also marks Emirates' 15th anniversary in mainland China, with the airline now operating five daily services from the three mainland cities to Dubai, allowing passengers to fly better to the vibrant UAE city and beyond while enjoying the iconic Emirates A380 experience, including the award-winning inflight entertainment, delectable dining and beverages, popular Onboard Lounge for First and Business Class passengers, as well as superior service delivered by Emirates cabin crew comprised of 130 nationalities.
