Austrian Airlines announced its cooperation with the German creative agency thjnk at the beginning of the year. Now the first jointly developed advertising campaign is already on air. Yesterday, the new brand campaign was launched in Austria and China. USA will follow in the next few days. A comprehensive sales push will simultaneously take place in 16 countries.
Emotion Meets Tradition
Customers and their travel experiences with Austrian Airlines comprise the main focus of the brand campaign. Emotional images are fused with the core brand elements of Austria's national carrier, for example the traditional red color of Austrian Airlines or the popular waltz music. The objective of the advertising campaign is to transport Austrian charm and service culture for which the airline is known above and beyond the country's borders - in line with the campaign's claim #FeelsLikeAustrian.
The new commercial also marks the dissemination of the first wave of visual motifs in online, print and out-of-home media. The campaign itself was conceived on the basis of a 360-degree approach. Images and slogans such as "Arrive. Even before you depart" are designed to underline those features which make the travel experience with Austrian Airlines stand out.
Michael Knapp, Director B2C Marketing for the Lufthansa Group in Asia Pacific comments on the new advertising presence: "We are proud to launch the new campaign for Austrian Airlines, a brand of our airline group, also in China. Together with our new creative agency thjnk, we have designed a modern and contemporary global communication platform. We convey in an individual way how it feels to fly with Austrian Airlines. The hashtag #FeelsLikeAustrian serves the purpose of translating the claim 'the charming way to fly' into an exciting world of interesting stories and enables people to perceive the typical Austrian charm of Austrian Airlines. In China, we tell stories of this typical Austrian hospitality and charm, as well as the famous Waltz and Viennese Coffee House culture."
